True first edition first printing 1841 with b&w illustrations and including the elusive errata slip mentioning typgraphics errors, the order and actual number of plates and the mention of Frederick read Zebediah. Plates with G. Catlin on left, and Myers & Co. or Tosswill & Myers on right. Leather spine and corners, original dark purple pebbled cloth boards. Gilding on spine is faded, some general shelf and edgewear, bumped corners. Front hinge starting on volume 1, very minor foxing. Generally a very good, square tight set.
