Volume I only. Third edition, dark blue half morocco, marbled boards, gilt rules on spine and corners. Shelf wear, rubbing, bumped corners, slight cracking of leather on spine. Interior pages very clean and tight, very minor discoloration of page edges. Back of front cover has a sticker from a previous bookseller, listing price at over 2000 in 1968. former owner's name on FFEP, a little soiling of endpapers. Although the more important edition was printed in 1800, this third edition was printed in fewer numbers. The differences between this edition and the earlier one are as follows: (1) the former only contains 4 poems by Coleridge (2) this edition contains the famous expanded preface going from 46 to 64 pages (3) many portions of text of the poems had been changed (4) 3 poems were removed from volume I and placed in volume II (5) "The Dunjeon" in particular was withdrawn from the 3rd edition (6) "A Character" was also withdrawn. A wonderful and valuable addition to any collection of Wordsworth.
